Michael Vick:  I just became a Philadelphia Eagles fan.  With this team picking up Mike Vick, it gives him a
chance at re-establishing himself.  I don't condone dog-fighting, but it ain't the worst thing in the world.  The man
deserves a second chance.  Too many times we label a person because of pass transgressions.  Hey, ain't nobody
perfect.  He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone.  Lets root for him, instead of trying to tear him
down.  It ain't that many positive black men out here.  Lets give him a chance to be the role model that he can be.

Classroom Management....a Note to Teachers:  There are many reasons why teachers lose control of
their classrooms.  Perhaps the number one reason is a lack of consistency.  When you set rules in your classroom,
you must enforce and stick to them.  How do students learn your rules?  The test and then watch what you do.
Your actions will clarify what you really expect.  Basically, your words and your actions must be the same!  The
more consistency you demonstrate between your words and your actions, the quicker your students will tune in,
take you seriously, and give you the cooperation and respect you deserve.

Consistency is the key to your credibility, but it takes time.  The best thing that you can do is to set aside time
each day to teach your rules and procedures, just as you would in teaching reading or math.  You cannot and will
not reach your students academically if they are not listening to you.  This and more is part of a Professional
Development series, that I developed, aimed at providing teachers with classroom management strategies.

Boys in our Elementary Schools:  Did you know that Chicago elementary school students have gym only ONE
day per week?  Did you know that there is NO recess?  Did you know that there is only 20 minutes for lunch?  I
remember when I was in school we had gym, if not everyday, certainly three days per week.  We expect our Black
boys, who are so full of energy, to come to school sit down and be quiet all day.  When is it time for them to run
around and spend some of that energy that is built up inside of them.  Our special education department is
flooded with young Black boys.  They label them
ADHD.  They don't have an attention disorder.  They are bored in
school.  You cannot tell a boy to sit down, read, write all day without offering him an outlet for his energy.  (I
never present a problem without offering a solution.  As part of the
PROUD Program that I developed, I offer
strategies to assist schools by providing a plan of action in this area).

Madden 2010:  I ain't gonna speak on this much, cuz I scare brothas from playin' me.  But I will say this.  Buy
the game and get you some practice before emailing, texting, or calling me to play.  Cuz I kick ass, and talk plenty
of shit.  To get your copy of the Madden 2010 video game,

3 pm, at 47th and Lake Shore Drive.  We should have enough guys, but if you wanna play, reply now.  Single women,
why don't you come out.  Too many of y'all get this email and will be sitting at home, by yoself, waitin' on God to
send you a man.  That man ain't gonna come knockin' on yo door.  Perhaps you need to go knockin' on his.  Just a
thought.........Peace and God Bless.
