First, to those that may have just joined my mailing list, I'd like to say thank you. When you receive
an email from me it will usually pertain to either an event that I am producing or music that I have for
sale. Occasionally, you will receive a "Random Thought," which is basically my opinion on various
worldly matters. And so.....
Random Thoughts for January 2009....
CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS: My school has after school (AS) programs that run until past 6 pm,
four days per week, and we have just started a Saturday Class. That's how you burn a teacher out.
The TEACHER IS NOT the PARENT.
The only AS programs that are needed are Extra-Curricular programs, activities like sports, drama,
art, music, math club, etc., and remedial Elementary Educational classes for our 5 to 8 year olds. Our
goal should be to make sure that every child is able to read upon leaving Kindergarten.
The money that we spend on academic AS programs would be better spent on providing extra teachers
and educational support staff (ESP) in the classrooms. If a classroom gets more than 20 students we
put an ESP in the classroom. Now there are two adults in the class, thus allowing each child to get a
more individualized instruction. If enrollment reaches 30 students then we open a new classroom with
a certified teacher.
You tell me which learning environment is more conducive to learning......
1) One teacher with 30+ kids, from 9am to 3pm, and an hour of academic AS with 12-20 students in
the room. "or"
2) One teacher with 15-20 students from 9am to 3pm, and an hour to two hours of extra-curricular
activities.

ATTENTION SINGLE LADIES: 42% of single black women may never marry because of the dearth
of marriageable black men. Nationally, there are 10 single women for every single black man.
Here's your thought>
1) Keep yourself looking good. We are attracted to what we see. Wear clothes that accentuate the
positives. If you got a nice round butt, don't cover it up, get you a pair of jeans that highlight the
booty. Also, a nice bra will do wonders for a sista. Even if you got some little "B" cups, a push-up
bra might make 'em look like C's.
2) Check the "I can do fine by myself, I don't need no man" attitude at the door, cuz ya lyin' to
yoself. Yeah, you can pay yo bills, and the vibrator may satisfy a momentary need. But laying on the
couch, with your 'toy,' watching a lifetime movie is a sad way to spend a lonely, cold, Saturday night.
3) Stop being so dayum Bossy and Controlling. There are far too many single CLARICE CLARKS
OUT HERE. (Taraji P. Henson's character in "Not Easily Broken")Men might be visual, but we watch
your attitude too. If you seem like the type of sista that stands up and lifts the toilet seat to pee,
like you are a man, then most men are going to be turned off by you. Only one person can "Where the
pants" in a relationship.
4) Go where the men are. Your married girlfriend's husband is probably having a Superbowl party,
you need to go. But before you go, get in the office squares pool. Why? So when you are watching
the game, you can sit next to a man and have him explain it to you. DUH!!!! While there tell errbody
that you are cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers cuz they got a black coach, and he will be the second
black coach to ever win a Superbowl.

DATE NIGHT: We haven't done anything in a while, so perhaps this is good timing. Saturday,
February 6, 2009. 7pm start time (puhleez be on time), at my crib on the southside of Chicago. Last
date night was a ton-a-fun. We separated errbody into three teams, and played Jeopardy answering
questions using a buzzer system, it was both funny and competitive. We also played Win, Lose, or
Draw, and Name That Tune. For the first time in the history of "Date Night" the ladies beat the guys
in Win, Lose or Draw. It was funny watching folks draw who had no artistic ability at all. That's why
we lost.
This time we will play those games and add one more. Drinks for the evening will be apple martini's,
and Mojito's. Dinner is potluck, errbody gotta bring something. If you've neva hung out with me and
my friends for one of these events, you are really missing out. I prefer couples, but I ain't
discriminating this time. If you would like to come out, please reply to this email. (For those of you
unfamiliar with this concept, it is just a night where grown folks get together and have a good time).

selected are so jazzy and smooth that you won't really be listening to the music, you will actually feel
it.

AN EXTRA TWO CENTS: Life is too short for me not to try to enjoy myself in everything that I
do. I will continue to host golf outing, softball games, basketball tournaments, football pools, date
nights, and any other events that bring people together. If you want to sit on the couch watching tv all
day, that's your prerogative. Me, I'm gonna get out, enjoy life, and experience all this world has to
offer.
Our Fantasy Football League has 13 owners this year. It was a blast watching the games and rooting
for my players to succeed. I'm not gonna win this year, but I enjoyed organizing, and I am thankful
for those that participated. To view the stats and information on this year's league Click Here.
