Parents Communicate With Your Child's Teacher
If you haven't done so already, it is a good idea to go to your child's
school and meet their teacher. Provide the teacher with your cell
number and your email address. Let the teacher know that you will work
with them in educating your child. Also, try to sit in class with your child
for an hour or so. You will learn a lot about your child's teachers'
teaching style, and what kind of challenges a teacher faces on a daily
basis. Finally, if you disagree with any decisions that your child's
teacher makes, be sure to not show your indifference in front of your
child. Keep the conversation between you and the teacher as private as
possible. I can't tell you how many times I've seen and experience
ignorant acting parents coming up to the school cursing at a teacher.
