This course is challenging enough to be a decent test for the good golfers and friendly
enough to allow the novice an opportunity for a good round. Because of its proximity to
Chicago, it usually gets a lot of play, which means the pace of play can be slow at times.
Joe Louis is not as well kept as some of the other private courses in the immediate area, but
for the money, you will get what you pay for at Joe Louis.
