Deer Creek Golf Course if played from the tips lives up to the slope of 124, at 6900 yards this course is long. There is a stretch of about 4 or 5 holes that are treacherous. Starting with hole number 15. Which is a long par 5. Your tee shot is hit into what basically amount to a wide open fairway. But your second shot is a blind shot because it is up a small hill. It gets tougher as well with trees coming into play. The hole then doglegs slightly to the left, as you approach the green that is heavily guarded with bunkers. The next hole is a long par 4 with OB on the left and water waiting for all the slicers on the right. If played from the tips, only the big hitters will get there in regulation. This hole is a Bon Vivant sized par 4. Plus it plays a little longer because it plays uphill. Hole seventeen is a par three that is about 180 yards, with water on the right for slicers. This hole is also heavily guarded by bunkers. Hole eighteen is a 400 yard hole that doglegs to the right. With water catching every slice. There are trees and an OB fence on the left, then a fairway bunker that is usually not in play if you play from the tips. There is a driving range, large putting green, and a short chipping area at Deer Creek. The clubhouse is large enough to support an outing. The Pace of play has been slow on a few occasions that I have played here. There are several adjacent fairways so look out for errant golf shots. The course is usually in pretty good shape, and many two for one deals can be found. Degree of Difficulty 6 Course Conditions 7 Pace of Play 6 Value For Your Dollar 8 Overall Rating 7 |
