I just completed my 14th Volume of House Music CDs.  To view the playlist of the other 13 volumes

      House Music Volume 14

1.  Tree of Life...........................Nadirah Shookrah
I like to start out a CD with a mellow but smooth bass sound.  I call it, a "Back-room" medley.  Tree
of Life definitely serves the purpose.  This smooth vocal house groove with a thick bassline, medolic
synths, and clean beats are added to Nadirah's beautiful vocals and is sure to have you hitting the
rewind button.

2.  Protect.................................Glenn Underground
This track arrives so smoothly, it almost seems as if it is an extension of the first song.  But it
clearly identifies itself with deep and lively basslines that bounce of the speakers and rattles the
subwoofer.

3.  Wanna Be Loved (Quentin Harris Remix)..........................Jill Scott
Quentin brings the remix here with the queen of Neo-Soul bringing vocals behind a well sung track
of her Beautifully Human Vol. 3 CD.  If you like Jill Scott and House Music, then you will love this
track.  An excellent follow-up to the Deep bass driven Protect (Track 2).

4.  Takes Me Higher....................................Vernessa Mitchell
Time to get your praise on, while feeling a house groove at the same time.  This inspiring, soul
stirring, and innovatively hip Gospel House track delivers a refreshing uplifting urban gospel vocal
with positive spiritual meaning.
There is just enough bass to get you groovin' and praisin'!!

5.  The Player.......................Loleatta Holloway
A house CD wouldn't be without the queen of House Music lending here vocals.  This song has the
right combination of a deep infectious bass groove, luscious pads, energetic beats and various funky
synth textures to make you move while singing along.

6.  PMS (Quentin Harris Remix)............................Mary J. Blige
This may be the number one House Track right now.  Mary's raspy voice is blended well with this
track featuring a serious bassline.  This one is sure to crowd the dance floor, and have you trying to
figure out what Mary is saying as you attempt to sing along.

7.  Beat Track featuring Barack Obama Nomination Acceptance Speech
I don't know the name or artist of this song.  But I do know that this shit is pumpin'!!!  Then, Barack
starts speaking.  I didn't originally make this sample, but I did perfect it.  Couldn't follow-up PMS
any other way!!!

8.  Love It (Original Mix)...................................Kidstuff
This is really a beat track, but has a little of Any Love by Chaka and Rufus mixed in. Luscious pads
and various synth textures come together to create dimension around the the deep basslines.
Another dance floor crowder.

9.  Beat Track...........................................DJ Emanuel
I list DJ Emanuel as the artist, but he is not.  I got this track off of a CD that he made.  The
basslines on this track are so powerful, that you may have to turn down the bass to keep from
burstin' your speakers. This track definitely produces a floor thumping House beat!!

10.  Haunted......................................Sly Scott
You probably are not familiar with the title, but my true house-heads are definitely familiar with
the sound.  It enters so smoothly behind the Beat from track nine, that it jumps out at you with an
even heavier bassline.  Once you recognize the sound its too late, you are already hooked!

11.  The World is Running Down.......................................The Police
I was on Facebook a little while back and a partner of mine, Johnny W., put up a youtube copy of
this song.  I beat the shit out of this and decided it had to be on this CD.  In addition to the heavy
bass, I looped several verses of this song to enhance the house music effect.  Thanks John for
joggin' my memory.

12.  Punch Up................................................................Laid
If I were to title this CD, this song would be the title track.  The beat, combined with the funky
synths serves as an excellent follow-up to the previous songs on the disc.

13.  Mercy Mercy Me (House Remix)....................................Marvin Gaye
After all the foot stompin', head bangin', beat tracks its time for a sing-a-long.  Errbody knows
this song, but ain't nobody heard it quite like this.  With Marvin's silky vocals carefully crafted in
front of smooth synths and a heavy bassline, you are sure to be singing this one!!!

14.  I Might Do Something Wrong.....................................Tortured Soul
A perfect way to end a beatin' ass CD.  This "back-room" house groove mellows out the ending with
a smooth blend from Marvin's track 13.  This song offers much of the same medley as the first song
on the CD.
