The 2011 Chili Dip Open Results
The 2011 Chili Dip Open is in the books, and we have a new Champion. Fred Saffold, a twenty handicap, shot 87
(net 67) to win the tournament. In addition, he also won the Long Drive contest as well as a Skin in the Shanker
Division. His net score of 67, 5-under par, sets a new tournament record for lowest net score. Another
high-handicapper, Mitch Shanks shot the round of his life as he posted an 83, including two CTP winners on holes
seven and eighteen. Marco Serrano posted a low gross tournament record of 77. With his 8 handicap gave him a
net score of 69, two strokes off the lead. A costly two stroke penalty for playing the wrong ball on the par 4-3rd hole
cost Marco a chance at winning the tournament. That error put him solidly in third place. Thank you to all who
attended. We had 59 golfers to participate in the 2011 Chili Dip Open.
PRIZE DISTRIBUTION - SHOTGUN START
The main purpose of our shotgun start was to allow
all golfers to finish at roughly the same time. This
would give everyone a chance to collect their prizes
at the end of the round. If you won a prize and did
not collect, please contact Chuck Dogg at
773-419-8840. We do NOT intend on holding
prizes for you. It is your responsibility to pick up
your prize. Once all scores were officially tallied, we
distributed our prizes. Only a short wait to get your
prize. IF YOU WON A PRIZE AND DID NOT WAIT
AROUND TO CLAIM IT, WE WILL HOLD IT FOR
ONLY 7 DAYS. IF WE DO NOT HEAR FROM YOU,
YOUR PRIZE WILL BE FORFEITED!!!!
